The season of Advent refers to the four weeks leading up to Christmas. It is a time of preparation and anticipation as we await and celebrate the advent of two things: the remembrance of Jesus entering the world as a baby at Christmas, as well as the advent to come, or the Second Coming of Christ.

With this in mind, we designed this Advent Bible study guide to walk you through a new tradition — The Jesse Tree — the stories of the Bible that connect the lineage and narrative leading to the birth of the Savior. With the hope that it will help us focus on the miracle of Jesus Christ and the connection that each of us have to His love.

Printed in beautiful full color, we intentionally designed and reformatted this year's Advent guide to include original art painted exclusively for Multiply Goodness by Barbara Young. Each painting reflects the Bible story that you and your loved ones will read each day. We are also happy to give you each painting, printed on high-quality card stock in the back of the guide, to use as ornaments, symbols, tags, and more to bring the Bible stories of the birth of Jesus to life in your own home.
